Klara Thafvelin is a stop-motion animator, puppet maker and sculptor based in Sweden. She graduated from Stockholm University of the Arts in 2023, where she studied image and cinematography, animation and production design, with a primary focus on stop-motion animation.

Her practice combines animation with hands-on fabrication, including puppet making, sculpting, silicone work, set building and props. She is interested in the tactile qualities of stop-motion and the process of creating characters and miniature worlds by hand.

Her work spans animation, film and visual storytelling, with a particular focus on handcrafted techniques and character-driven narratives. Her films have been screened at international festivals including Annecy, Manchester Animation Festival, Anima Brussels and Uppsala Short Film Festival. She is currently developing her new stop-motion film, Tapeworms.
